Purpose | The purpose of Jodo Shinshu Hongwanji-ha as a religious organization is to revere Shinran Shonin as the founder of the teaching and the Monshu as its central figure, and includes those who abide by the Hongwanji Constitution (Shusei); individuals and the head temple, affiliate temples and its respective groups and organizations who contribute toward spreading of the Jodo Shinshu teaching, performing services and ceremonial rituals, educating priests and their families, temple members, as well as others, with its purpose to contribute toward realizing a society in which everyone can live a life of spiritual fulfillment. |
