Hanjusan – 般舟讃 – by Master Shan-tao (Zendō) is presented on this page as a beautiful Jodo Shinshu chant. The Full title is 『依観経等明般舟三昧行道往生讃』- “Ekangyotomyo hanjuzanmai gyodo ojosan” translated as “Hymns on the Pratyutpanna Samadhi” or more colloquially “Hymns on the samadhi of All Buddhas Presence”
They are Hymns based on the Pratyutpanna Samādhi Sutra,
“The Pratyutpanna Samādhi Sutra, one of the oldest Mahayana sutras and the earliest to mention Amitāyus, along with the The Śūraṅgama Samādhi Sutra, which commends the “Samādhi of the Heroic March” as foremost among all methods of spiritual training” – BDK
